It’s so weird that I have… probably never written about Rent on tumblr? It was SUCH a huge part of my life when I was in high school. I met so many friends through rushing at shows (fuck yeah $20 front row) and the online community… I’ve see the live show at least 10 times, it’s gotten a bit sad - including one time where I travelled all the way to NYC to see it with Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. Obviously, they toured and came to Toronto the next year but hurr hurr I didn’t know that at the time & I regret nothing.
I watched the movie tonight (which I love… despite a lot of the fandom’s hate…) and it brought everything back ;~; I still know the ENTIRE FUCKING LIBRETTO by heart and it’s just the best thing, okay? no day but today. I still want that as a tattoo someday.
